Job Description / Responsibility:
The App Developer (Android) will work closely with stakeholders to understand user needs and translate them into functional and user-friendly app experiences. This involves creating wireframes, prototypes, and designing user interfaces (UI) that are intuitive and visually appealing. The developer will write clean, efficient, and maintainable code to build the core functionalities and features of the app.
● Requirements Understanding: Understand user needs and product vision, and translate them into technical specifications for the app.
● UI Design: Create intuitive and visually appealing interfaces that ensure a smooth and enjoyable user experience, involving wireframing, prototyping, and collaborating with UI/UX designers.
● Code Development: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using Java and Kotlin for Android development.
● Feature Implementation: Implement features like user authentication, data storage, API integration, and push notifications using appropriate tools and libraries.
● Testing: Perform unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to identify and fix bugs, ensuring the app functions as intended across different devices and operating systems.
● Play Store Guidelines: Adhere to Google Play Store guidelines and handle the submission process.
● Performance Monitoring: Analyze app analytics, identify and address bugs, and respond to user feedback to maintain a positive user experience.
● Maintenance: Work on adding new features, improving existing functionalities, and keeping the app compatible with the latest software updates and security patches.
Technical Experience:
● Professional Experience: 3-5 years of experience performing the duties outlined above in a professional environment.
● Android Development: Expertise in Java and Kotlin for Android development.
● Frameworks: Understanding of frameworks like Jetpack for Android development.
● IDEs: Proficiency in using Android Studio for development and debugging.
● SDKs and Libraries: Familiarity with relevant SDKs provided by the platform (e.g., Android SDK) and third-party libraries for accessing device functionalities and integrating external services.
● Version Control: Proficiency in Git for version control and collaboration.

Bachelor’s Degree: BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
Skills/Qualifications Desired:

● APIs: Familiarity with APIs and their integration with mobile apps for extending app functionalities and interacting with external services.
● Database Interaction: Basic understanding of database concepts and potential interaction with databases for data storage and retrieval within the app.
● Problem-Solving: Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues effectively.
